Cadets Diary
Mid Winter Swim
Pearl Harbor
Charter Parade
Cadets undertook a mid winter swim on 23rd June. Some 16 brave soles entered the water, with many staying there for up to 20 minutes! The deal was - submerged to shoulders for 1 minute to enable them to receive their sponsored value. We had a good turn-out of parents/supporters and on-lookers. The great news was $400.00 from sponsors! Our thanks to them all. We intend to use the money raised by the cadets for camping equipment.

On Tuesday 5th June, TS Tamatoa sent ten cadets to see the premiere "Pearl Harbor".
Mid City Cinemas staff had been dressed up as if the Queen was arriving. Close enough though! many important people has turned up and the sea cadets were at their best.
We lined up along the red carpet and stood still while watching hundreds of people pass by.
After an hour or so we took our seats and were given complimentary food in a bag.
Once the movie had ended there was an auction to help raise funds for children in need.
Overall the night was successful and everyone enjoyed themselves.
Thank you to all the people who made this night possible
The Charter Parade was supported by TS-Tamatoa Cadets.
